Circumstances are keeping me from posting the All-Halloween Team card I’d originally planned for today, so since it’s National Black Cat Day in the UK, I thought I’d share this small drawing I created last month for Lakewood Art Supply‘s “Bats, Cats, and Rats” show!
It’s entitled “The Starting Nine (Lives),” and features a character from a comic I’ve been noodling around with for a long time. The character is named “Jim Kaat,” but should not be confused with the real-life Jim Kaat (either the Hall of Fame baseball player or the feline in residence at the House of Brouse).
“Bats, Cats, and Rats” is on view until November 15th; the show benefits CCLAS, a volunteer non-profit which helps support the animals at a local municipal animal shelter. My piece in the show has already sold, but there are many other great works still available for sale, so drop by if you’re in NE Ohio!
